This is kind of interesting to me. There is a post in the photo section of this site that says:

Crown Point Brewing Company
The Crown Brewing Company, incorporated in 1895, brewed and bottled beer at their location on West Goldsborough in Crown Point for 15 years. They moved to Hammond in 1910 partly due to an environmental problem caused by draining the hops into Beaver Dam Ditch. Part of the building is still standing.

I wonder if the bottle comes from there?

I think I have the info you are looking for. the Drackett bottling company was a soda company. the location of which was on East Street behind the antique mall (what is now a parking lot.). my husband dug for bottles in the 70's and we had several of them. my father in law worked for them... you would not have wanted to drink out of those bottles. they were handwashed with buck shot and rinsed in the same vat of water. then returned to the assembly line to refill them. hope this fills in a little history for you. According to a grandchild of the original owners, the Drackett bottling company was located on the the property where the dry cleaner / bridal shop is now located. Directly north of the White Hen Pantry on Main Street. The owner's house was either located where the White Hen now sits or the Wendys. They lost the business during world war II due to the sugar rationing.
